Physiotherapy and rehabilitation is an exciting, rapidly growing area of small animal practice, with tremendous potential for you as a veterinary nurse. To use physiotherapy and rehabilitation effectively you need high levels of knowledge and practical skills, as well as the ability to solve problems and make the right decisions. You will develop the skills that you need when you attend this unique course.

The course is designed for you if you are a qualified veterinary nurse and you want to develop your skills in small animal physiotherapy and rehabilitation. The six modules of Level 2 each cover a key area of rehabilitation. The emphasis in each module is on the practical application of rehabilitation techniques that you can use to improve outcomes for the animals in your care.

Qualification:

To qualify as a Veterinary Nurse Rehabilitation Therapist (DipVNRT) you must attend all Level 2 modules and then successfully complete the final Level 3 module, including the final assessment. It is anticipated that in most cases, you will complete the course within two years. You must complete the course within five years. Assessment will comprise of course work, case studies, and a written and practical examination.

To gain your CertVNRT, attend Level 1 and any four modules from Level 2 (including Anatomy) and complete the coursework to the required standard.

Option 1 Attend the whole course. Complete the coursework to the required standard. Pass the assessment at Level 3. Develop your skills and knowledge and qualify as a Veterinary Nurse Rehabilitation Therapist (DipVNRT).

Option 2 Attend Level 1 and four modules from Level 2 (including Anatomy). Complete coursework to the required standard standard. Gain your CertVNRT.

Option 3 Pick individual modules and develop these areas of rehabilitation therapy in your practice
